there are 10 photos with this title but no challenge. It comes up in book and movie title challenges, but it is so evocative and works so well with the medium of photography that I think it merits its own challenge.
Description: make "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" the title of your photograph.

| FWIW, we COULD flag it as a mandated title and saying SC will correct non-conforming titles... I haven't discussed this with my fellow SC, though. It seems to me this would be a good solution. |

| Though I don't know whether or not I'll be able to come up with an entry, I find Don's challenge suggestion, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," very appealing. It asks that you find within yourself that sublime feeling of ecstasy at being alive, of being untethered from the invisible cords of duty and worry, of being at one with everything, or however you may interpret the phrase, and express that in a photograph. The image needn't be literal, just something that expresses your feeling. Of course, the same can be said of so many of our challenges. Here that quest is for something rare and evanescent, at least for many of us. |
