I had other candidates in the running that likely would not have done as well:


ETA: I thought about using the crop / template to see how well they followed the Golden Spiral. In the end, I discarded the idea. Often in choosing what to enter, the choice comes down to being between an image that seems visually stronger and an image that more strictly follows the theme. In my experience (albeit only 950 challenges), it is better to lean toward the more interesting image. For me, I think they tend to score better and they tend to be more personally satisfying.

Assuming you fixed the slight tilt, this one would have squeezed another point out of me :)

All of them are excellent. Great work.

edit to add: just checked, the tilt isn't actually as bad as I first thought ... optical illusion

I think you selected the right image, but any of these would have scored highly from me.
