Do you already have any lenses? Have you used a dSLR before? Are you looking for something reasonably light like a bridge camera with an integral zoom lens or a camera with interchangeable lenses?

Can't offer a hard and fast recommendation in that budget but can only offer some advice as you look.

Your wants and needs for "Nature & Landscapes" generally stand in direct opposition with those for "Sports" so you need to decide which of those needs are more critical to you. Sports cameras can do nature more easily than the other way around.

Sports cameras demand higher frame rates and usually larger buffer sizes, both of which come at a cost, and generally you will want a cropped sensor since it has more reach. "Nature" can as well if you're talking birds in flight or animals running in the wild. With speed generally comes the need for noise control since higher ISOs are usually required. The good news is that modern censors have gotten really good at controlling noise around 3200-6400 making it usable even for cropping in on smaller birds.

If you're going that way, as a Nikon shooter, I would recommend starting with a refurbished D7200 which will save you some money to spend on glass. Sigma makes a pretty good 18-300mm cropped sensor lens for under $400 that can get you started if you need to stay on the low end and figure it out. From there I'd go to a pair of zooms that complement each other, 18-135mm & 70-200/300mm. The main thing is to make sure the body you choose meets your needs because you'll be using it all the time.

A7III, super for its price. Fast, not too expensive and if you have A mount lenses you can use them with an A -> E mount adapter.

Too late for apologies. You are off the welcoming committee. :P

+1 for the A7III. I don't have one, but did some research after I upgraded to the 6DMkII (cuz that's how I do) and Sony mirrorless is where I am headed next time. And as Alex mentioned, you can use your existing lenses during the transition. Good luck.
