Pixels R Us team has a private message page that we can access from a link that appears in the "Private Messaging Inbox" on the DPC home page in the left upper corner below the menu bar and to the left of the challenge results. I don't know if all teams have them up yet, but I think that would be the place to look for access. |

But we've had that for two weeks. I was expecting a separate forum thread above the normal thread chart (like we had in the last tournament).
You know, the one that wouldn't go away, and now I can't expand it...

We have our group message functionality via the messaging system - pretty much offers the same functionality. But, Ive raised it as an issue anyway. |

Well, we know what we're shooting, we just don't know who we're shooting against. No thread, no divisions, no schedule. :( |

Was just about posting the same. Very sloppy indeed. |

Someone must have forgotten to turn the switch before going to bed. Not a great start after all the build up to this competition. |

I was out of town last week ... what ARE we shooting (which Challenge kicks off DPL?).
Maybe a new thread would be helpful? |

For some reason I can't tick the green lettering next to my name to accept the invite...Bear, can you or another SC go in and fix that? Please?
ETA: OK Finally figured it out, it was the teeny lil greyed-out letters at the top of the team list that I didn't see til now that I had to click. Sure you guys still want someone so inept on your team? ;-)

are we going back to only a week to shoot for DPL challenges? If so I may have to drop out now...

DPL challenges have a one-week timeframe. Yes.

and where is that stated?
If it is only a week I personally am not happy. The move from 1 week to 2 weeks for challenges is the main reason I have stayed on DPC, with my super busy work schedule a week is not really long enough. I know what they say about assumptions but I honestly did assume that DPL will continue with the current 2 week challenges. I know one of the reasons to do a DPL season was to bring some life back to the site but can't help think that going back to a week for entry into a challenge will negatively impact that.
Really bad decision in my opinion.
Edit - what is the reasoning to going to 1 week for DPL?

I think 1 week, otherwise it would end up being a 6 month long competition, and more people would be bored of that and leave |

It was stated in the DPL Announcement thread -- the one-week challenges are necessary to both keep the scoring updated and to avoid having to re-write all the code to run the DPL (which would not have happened). |

guess I will be pretty useless to my team...
also another reason to not re-up my membership when it expires

I understand your frustration. You may benefit from changing your strategy. I changed mine when my 3rd child was born. I knew my free time was going to be limited
a) I always have a camera (or phone with a camera) with me.
b) I brainstorm during the first few days of a challenge (which , presumably can be done at work, in the car, in bed, while dreaming, in elevators, while coaching my kids' sports, while at swim meets, etc).
c) I also usually end up trying to fit my work / life activities into the challenges ... or the challenges into my life - depending how you look at it.
d) I consider my limited timeframe a new, more challenging challenge! ;)

Good attitude and ideas. I may share this with my team. I know several have pretty unforgiving work schedules. |

This site went with, what, 10 to 12 years of "weekly" challenges before switching to 2 weeks ... with people meeting the timeline on a consistent basis. I think a one week submission period puts the "challenge" back in DPChallenge! |

Might be easier to ask who DOES have them. I don't think anyone does yet, do they? |
