My iPhone takes the live short “video” instead of a single image.
DPC doesn’t accept them as entries. (Gives wrong file extension error message).
I know there’s a way to just select one of the images in the “video”, but is it a valid unedited original if I select one and enter that?
Or is there a way to turn the live stuff off and have it just take one jpg? |

The image must contain valid EXIF data, and frames extracted from video don't AFAIK. Why aren't you using one of the numerous camera apps which should capture valid still frames? |

Thank you, Gen!
I didn’t know there were any. Do you have a recommendation? |

I don't -- I don't have or use any smart phone, but I know lots of people take pictures with them. Maybe look up someone on the list of users here an PM them?

You can just turn off your "live" photo feature on your phone to get a single image I believe. |

Thank you, Gen and Marco!
I I thought I had turned it off and I had, but I’d set it to always revert to it even if I turned it off, apparently.
All good now. Thanks bunches!! |

I am sure a photo I recently entered that came 4th was validated and I had an associated jpg image and this photo is appearing on my iPhone as Live. All I do is copy my photos to Dropbox and then upload from PC to DPC
