Bad is good! I'm winning!

I also started editing, then I came to my senses [in other words I read the instructions] and just entered one of the images I like best... hehe

The members probably won't get their heads round the idea when voting... so just enjoy it.. see if you will end up dead average, or hope for the Brown..

Did not vote yet but took a quick glance and must say that some of the entries hit the nail on its head and they're quite hilarious which I think was the point

The one thing that confused me was this was actually a lot more difficult than it looked. When you looked at the original (vs the tutorial), the original was pretty darn good in it's fail. The tutorial was a lot more of a hack.

It makes wonder even more if the whole thing was a setup. Otherwise how would they have achieved a well done fail?

It's been a bizarre process. I don't know whether people are voting on whether I failed badly or failed well! :D

I forgot to add that there are some that did this remarkably well!

My take from this challenge - I learned how to draw in photoshop with a mouse. Before this challenge I did not know smoothing feature of the brush and how well it works!

Score 4.9xxx

I think the DNMC cudgel will be wielded on some of these. I actually liked more than I thought I would from this challenge.

Some poor sods are going to have this end up amongst their highest scoring finishes, and have to put up with the photo on their front page as an example of their 'best' work!

And then rest of us poor sods are going to be viewing the top images on the DPC main page for three weeks! Some of them I did find quite funny. I had to vote in spurts.

I agree, Penny. I laughed out loud at several of them.

This challenge was confusing to prep for and to vote on. Let's never do this again.

It's definitely a one-off :-)

Imagine reaction of someone visiting DPChallenge.com for the first time and seeing these winners!

congrats to the winners and HMs, but in my opinion, only a few of the top ten really captured the essense of the process... some remained too saturated, and other retained too much face detail. glad it is over and done!

I just sent the picture to my son (it is his family). He loves it! Thank goodness he has a good sense of humor:)

in my opinion, too many of the top ten really captured the essence of the process. the better photos are lower down.
