TEHRAN, Iran -- The head of Iran's security council said Tuesday that the re-election of President Bush was in Tehran's best interests, despite the administration's "axis of evil" label, accusations that Iran harbors al-Qaida terrorists and threats of sanctions for the country's nuclear ambitions.

Historically, Democrats have harmed Iran more than Republicans, said Hasan Rowhani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, Iran's top security decision-making body.

[...]

Though Iran generally does not publicly wade into U.S. presidential politics, it has a history of preferring Republicans over Democrats, who tend to press human rights issues.

[...]

"It's not an endorsement we'll be accepting anytime soon," Bush campaign spokesman Scott Stanzel said in response.

Of course Iran wants Bush to win, most likely because of this administration's incompetence, and mismanagement. Most recently this benefited Iran when Ahmed Chalabi, the Bush administration's man in Iraq, who had ties to top level pentagon officials and was appointed by the US gov't to the Iraqi Governing Council, was found out to be giving our secrets away to the government in Tehran. This was intelligence that only top level officials in the US government knew and could get Americans killed. The Bush administration trusted this man with top secret intelligence and also trusted his pre-war advice on the WMDs that supposedly existed in Iraq.

Ha, ha... this extremely funny! I don't mean any personal disrespect (really), it's just that to have this comment come from someone that compared George W. Bush to John F. Kennedy favorably is beyond comic.

Who can be more brainwashed than someone who continues to toe the republican party line after their misdeeds and misleads?

LOL, in most cases I would agree with this. But I think in this case, the terrorists (Iranians) are making a strong statement, supporting Bush, which is in THEIR best interest, not ours. :) They realize that a person like Bush who will over-extend our resources in meaningless situations like Iraq, and who now has no support (or very little) World-wide, only benefits a terrorist country like Iran. Why else would they support him?

Wake up people. There are no more true Republicans with true patriotic values, since Ronald Reagan. Patriotic Republicans don't allow 1000's of illegal immagrents to flood into the country, many of which are terrorists. Patriotic Republicans don't sell out Middle-Class American jobs to communist and third-world countries in order satisfy US corporate greed. Patriotic Republicans don't over-extend our national budget on a meanlingless war in a meanlingless country, purely for self-serving and personal reasons, and pass it off as "in the name of fighting terrorism".

Id love to see some sources to that data; though from the ones I know, its accurate.

Though this would seem to explain why the current white house of republicans are so quick to jump to war and military action.

How is a list of people that did and did not serve related to the topic at all?

Quite simply, it isn't.

I would think that list just pulled any Demorcrat that served, and listed them. In the like manner pulled any Repulican that did not serve, and listed them.

Thats the way I see it.

While I doubt that the Iran "endorsement" is really genuine, this endorsement by Sarah Baxter, a lifelong Labour voter in Britain and a registered democrat, published in the The Times, does seem very genuine: I'm a Democrat for Bush.

And here is a moving piece on George Bush:

" Why I believe in my President".

lol...I especially like this paragraph from the article:

"Finally, I believe a white man of privilege who was accepted to Yale University despite a middling performance in prep school; was accepted to Harvard Business School despite a middling performance at Yale; was admitted to the Texas Air National Guard despite no flight background and an entrance exam score in the bottom quartile; was given funds by Osama bin Laden's father to start a failed oil company; and was chosen to serve as Texas governor and 43rd President of the United States despite a lifelong record of mediocrity, is a man with the moral authority to criticize affirmative action as a policy that gives opportunities to the undeserving."
