Really appreciate all comments on the entry:

Got this shot few days later

but decided to stick to original idea...
Does somebody know if the bird is a red-tailed hawk? It did not have any red tint anywhere in it's feathers..I have plenty of other shots. The guy sat on the tree branch next to our balcony and ate poor squirrel for almost an hour!

Your entry is beautiful and original, Elena, but you would have won the challenge with the hawk and squirrel shot, I have zero doubts. Thanks for not entering it ;)

Hi Elena, This bird certainly looks like the red-tailed hawks we get here on the cape. The "red" seen in some adults is more of a cinnamon colored brown on the upper side of the tail. In the young the tail more often has bands of light brown. What a treat to be able to watch from so close by.
