Hi everyone,

For those interested in either cars or the 20D, I've got approx 100 shots of the Sydney Motor Show 2004 online.

Enjoy!

Awesome shots. Inquiry on lense used for these shots. Autoshow arena, convention halls seem to have the worst lighting condition unless you know what you are doing. What's your secret other then the 20D? Or is that the secret. Anyways, any hints for non dSLRers.

Thanks for the show, Andrew. Some great looking transportation.
The Koenigsegg CCR wheels remind me of my 1979 Porsche 928...a great high speed touring coupe in those days.

Thanks faidoi.

The trick here was to use a monopod and no flash. Shot everything in RAW but didnt have the time or the energy to post process them all for web! I'll clean up the best of them later.

Most shots were ISO 800. The 20D is fantastic at metering so I didnt need to make many adjustments.

I'm using a pretty standard 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 USM lens from my Film SLR while I'm working towards some L series glass.

I've shot at the Sydney Motor Show for the past 4 years running, the previous 2 with my Sony F707. So I knew what I was in for. The different lighting at each stand is a little challenging, but most turn out well!

JEM, yes the CCR was amazing! They had a nice plasma screen showing a British Car Show review of the vehicle. Added nicely to the appeal! Your 928 sounds beautiful! Do you still have it? I've always loved those cars!
