| As to the blue window, legs photo, sorry I don't know how to put in the image, I gave it a 7 because it was beautiful and evocative. Maybe too evocative, which dampened my reach. The high up, vertical positioning of the legs is suggestive, to me, of a hanging, perhaps a suicide. Can't always be objective, and though many proclaim that art thrives on the provocative, even on the disturbing, on this one I bailed. Maybe other voters felt similarly, don't know. Just a personal take. |

thankyou for putting little Leo and mr tod in this thread ..
as i said in my blurb i cant think without bias about those two ..
and i really think stacks of my pics are just snapshots with some editing to make them look more appealing .. so i'm very pleased that you thought my pic was worthy of this thread ..

I love them and photograph them often this time of year. They come in their thousands to feed off the lawn. I tried to shoot them en masse as they fly off into the light but didn't get a suitable shot. Thought this one was nice too. Thank you for appreciating what I saw! |

just kidding. here is a beautiful evocative image, my only 10 in the challenge, sitting at the bottom of the multi-self challenge. Creating an image like this is a bigger win than any ribbon:

there were some amazing images in the Foliage VI (ARCHIVAL)challenge ..
this one by Debbi Barroness stood out to me ..
what i loved ..
how understated ..
sombre yet rich and inviting ..
leaves green and some turning ..
the vine embracing the trunk of the tree ..
and how i could imagine walking into that scene ..
