Originally I took a shot of trees and did a flip-paste-invert composition, which I then 'spherized' in Photoshop.
From that I ended up using the top-left quadrant for my entry:

At the last minute I re-edited this to make it a bit darker, but after showing prints to some people they seem to prefer the lighter version ...
