One of these won "best of show" at the local county fair.

I do not know which one, since the fair does not start until this weekend but I received a phone call asking me to be at the awards cerimony to receive the trophy and to be interviewed for the local paper.

I just wanted to say thanks to the folks that helped me pick the entries link and also to the very talented photographers on this site whos pictures I have learned so much from.

I am going to agree with everyone else and say the last one, "Waiting for the Sun" was the winning photo.

County Fair Judges are saps for those childern shots, and you have captured one of the best pictures of that.

Yeah, the last one is incredible. It's raining sure, and she's waiting, but it really makes me think of those hot rainstorms of summer in charleston, where sometimes it was still bright outside in the rain.

Those were amazing times.

Definitely the last one... great job :)

That one was a grab shot. She was actually playing in the sprinkler. I just held down the shutter button. One looked good out of 10.

Even though there were quite a few entries in this contest. The quality of the competition at the county fair was not even close to what I see on this site. I have a new appreciation for the outstanding work done by some of the consistant ribbon winners on dpchallenge.
