I live in Brooklyn...too much history and fame to list here! BUT, Woody Allen grew up down the street, as did that twit Marisa Tomei...and I live right next to the NBC studios where they film some dumb soap opera...so when I go get my morning bagel I see all these high school girls going ape shit over some dweeby looking guy that happens to play a doctor on tv (or some such silliness)... Other than that, it's a boring neighborhood in a great borough in the best city in da woyld!

Well, I live in Dublin, OH... home of the corporate office of Wendy's (before he died, I saw Dave Thomas all the time around town). We are also home to Jack Nicklaus and his yearly Memorial Golf Tournament. It's a traffic nightmare!

Dublin is also home to 109 human-sized ears of cement corn as part of our "Art in Public Places," which has been recognized on FoodTV, haha :)

Hmmm, Waynesville (my hometown, about 10 miles from here) is the location of the last battle of the US Civil War (it was fought after the war ended, but word had not gotten here, yet).

One of the locations for filming "My Fellow Americans."

Nearby -- Home of John and Audrey Wiggins (country music), Raymond Fairchild (bluegrass).

That's about it. If you travel about 20 miles to the East, you hit Asheville, home of the Biltmore Estate, and location for several movies.

20 miles West is the Qualla Indian Reservation, home of the Eastern Band of Cherokee.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. Cold Mountain (the mountain that the book of the same name is based on) is not far from here (within visible range from the top of the mountain I live on). Several of my husband's family lives at the base of it.

Just to make you even more jealous, I've Seen him a few times actually, Christmas Eve three years ago I was working in a local store and was stood next to him while he was buying broccoli! Just for the record I don't think he's hot, although several overly excited women asking for autographs and photos seemed to disagree with me.

Also I see Brad Friedel (US international and Blackburn Rovers Goal Keeper) in starbucks all the time.

I used to work at a movie theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA, which is one of the wealthy areas of Los Angeles. Regular guests that I saw:

Alyssa Milano
Justin Timberlake
Seth Green
Adam Sandler
Shia LaBeouf
Shaq
Lesley Ann Warren
The Olsen Twins
Matt Lawrence
Tom Green
The Wayans Brothers
Jeri Ryan
Ryan Stiles

Some people I just saw once:

Kate Beckinsale
Emily Watson
Jennifer Garner (and she was totally flirting with me)
Queen Latifah
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Pat O'Brian
James Van Der Beek
Macy Gray
Ben Savage

I've actually seen a lot more, but I'm tired. I was just going through an old journal where I used to record them. I don't work there anymore though.

If anyone is familiar with the work of author Grace Metalious you will have heard of the book "Peyton Place", a notorious work for it's time. She lived and worked in Gilmanton New hampshire. Gilmanton is where I live and "Peyton Place" is rumored to have been about the people and events of this small New England town.

I live in Amsterdam, a favorite city for a lot of international stars because it's one of the few places they can walk around freely without being harassed by fans. I've seen a lot of famous faces here. And of course around the corner the Rembrandt resident, the Anne Frank House, etc. etc.

I once shook hands with Audrey Hepburn and Roger Moore when I was 16. Does that count?

While I lived in London after leaving school, I was a musician for a while... one of my gigs was playing with Annie Lennox on Top of the Pops, got picked up in a Daimler limousine and taken to the Elstree studios, had lunch with the cast of EastEnders and met many famous bands.
I also used to work in SohoSoundhouse, a guitar shop in the West End of London, again I met loads of famous people. It's a famous place if you're a guitarist.

My cousin, who's also appeared in movies and TV himself and is a fairly well-known radio comedian in Melbourne, is very good friends with actress Greta Scacchi. I met her once.
And about 20 years ago, I was in an amateur production of Rosencrantz and Guilderstern are Dead with Richard Roxborough, who has since made a name for himself as an international actor.
I grew up in Canberra and went to school with the sons of the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister.

Now, theres not so many bars anymore- but still lots of railroad crossings!
