Here we are more into micro brews, fine wine and illegal cheese. Let's see how you do. So far you are a sport.

IMIO, if you complete the assignment, you will be more in the mood for a coffee with Baileys & a short stack of Oreo's. In fact, I recommend a coffee with Bailey's before you start.

I think you misunderstood me, I was simply giving my two cents worth/opinion from one of the original posts. Isn't the forum used for that reason? Everyone has an opinion and should voice them when the opportunity calls for it. I do plan on sticking around and I haven't claimed anywhere that I was some sort of great photographer, I am just an amateur like most here and want to learn from the professionals, and by what I've seen so far there are quite a few. I think constructive critiques are what counts the most.

Ignore the cranky comments. We all do. They get cranky because they've heard the same arguments over and over and over again. You'll probably be cranky in a couple of years too. :)

Cranky? Sometimes. Ok, lots. Hot chocolate and Baileys? Always. Yum!

I like to look at those "minimal editing" photos.

This will probably get me in trouble, but I am not a fan of allowing entries that are nowhere near photo realistic, especially in what I assume is a photography challenge site not a PhotoShop chopping contest site . If textures are allowed then it would be a good idea to make it a requirement that the person submitting it has actually taken the texture photograph and any other objects within the work.

How do you know, by looking at the finished comp, that they are "minimal editing" photos?

I like to mix Godiva chocolate powder with coffee & Baileys.
