I would like to join but can't promise to do much .. just the anticipation of trying is good for me. I just got the topaz bundle and have no idea how to use it . also, do the photos need to be new or can I use old ones? Sorry if this was asked before. Thank you, Maggie |

I'm sure everyone will think that it will be great to have another contributor, Maggie. I've been using some older photos and textures - I don't think there are supposed to be any limitations. |

Thank you for accepting me - my topaz wouldn't load all the programs as I need to do an upgrade so I will have to search the net for some free ones. I hope to post something fairly soon. |

Welcome Maggie! Some of us have shared textures beneath images we have posted in the SC...feel free to play around with them. Also there is a texture gallery here...let me look it up...
Check them out here.
Any questions please feel free to ask.

RKT - thank you so much. Photography used to be my deepest passion and life took me away from it - the lovely responses from you all have made me just smile .. thank you for looking up the filters .. I forgot so much.
Going to go and check them out now. Maggie |

Maggie, what software are you using? I'm kind of responding to your comment under my latest photo post. The coloring of the photo was done in Nik Analog Efex, which is a photoshop plugin. For the textures, I layer them on the photo and play around with the blending modes...I use the overlay, soft light, multiply and sometimes hard light blending most of the time. The more I experiment, the more interesting things can get. My main problem is I should write down what I do, so I can replicate an effect if I want to. But sometimes what works for one photo looks like crap on another. I think that's the cool thing about playing around with textures/overlays and blending modes...I like the uncertainty of it all. |

I have a lot of new software .. my husband bought me a ton when I got ill.. but a lot of it isn't loading properly ..so the nik efex set - topaz collection - pls the Photoshop and light-room you get each month via payments.
I am trying to learn as I go I have one here ready for critique but it's very much an amateur production lol. I have no problems with any feedback .. I am also having difficulty resizing it in PS - the resolution seems to be off .. anyway,k no more excuses here it is :)
I used a texture from the ones you linked to .. I changed the color .. trying to remember the person's name .. Ohh here it is .. daguer01.jpg
cgino - thank you - I did change the color and adjust the opacity .
