Done

Some pics here.

No editing. Some misses too but overall good. The most hard I found to quickly adapt to lightning conditions. Things happen fast and doing it solo is not easy. My daughter was with my like a semi-assistant but she only did some video.

The Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is great!

Thank you all!

Thanks Skip! Your tips were very useful.

Those on laying on the ground are the grooms children. The teenage ones from a previous marriage. That was lovely!

I had good time and I hope they'll enjoy the pics. I reached 1000 but I had many on request at the party.

I don't have any deadline so I'll rake my time editing. These are straight from camera.

I have been and am about to be in this situation, I have shot two small weddings and am going to do another one on august 8th. From my experience from the first two, I have to say that I was much more critical of my photos than the couples were. And it is very nice to go to family/friends houses and see that they still hang photos of the day that you took. As far as gear goes, you don't need to be too worried. I used a completely different setup for the first two, and will use another for the third.

First wedding:
Canon rebel xti
Canon 50mm 1.8
Tamron 24-70 2.8
No strobes

Second wedding:
Canon 7d
Canon 24-105L
Canon 50mm 1.4
Canon strobe (forget which one)

Third wedding (upcoming)
Sony a6000
Sony 18-105 f4
Minolta 55mm 1.9 with adaptor
Lumo pro lp140 manual flash.

I would say your gear is better than both of mine and my upcoming one.
Nothing to worry about, your gear is more than capable.

Yeah, a slideshow or movie in one small file, but you have to sacrifice a lot of color depth.

Thanks, Lydia

They liked the images and that matters most. I have some missed shots but I'm not worried at all. Like everything practice and experience matters. I'm still editing them but I don't have a time-line so I can take it slowly :)

I do not regard myself as a photographer but I do have enough confidence that out of a 1000 pics 10-15 will be fine LOL

I'm happy that I also kept a bit of "my flavour" in the pics.

I'm thankful for the tips I got here!
