Just be careful as mercury is significantly toxic, and can be absorbed through the skin or as vapor if used without adequate ventilation. All metals become liquid at a high enough temperature -- gallium will melt in your hand (unlike M&Ms) ...

I hope you folks are joking about mercury. Best to focus on the creativity rather than go too crazy with loony materials IMHO.

My dad (a science teacher) used to keep a pint bottle of mercury on his desk -- when someone new came to visit he'd casually ask them to hand it to him to see their reaction (it would weigh almost 30 pounds) as it seemed to behave as though it was nailed-down ...
