Check out this video (less than two minutes). I gotta say this is pretty sweet.

Holy Moses! That's some device. Any idea of cost yet?

Narcissists rejoice! It's like the ultimate selfie stick.

I can imagine most ski resorts having a sign saying "no personal drones" very soon.
I have to say, if works as advertised, the passive user-following nature of this seems pretty revolutionary. Although I keep imagining two colliding if they become popular =0

You can't "fly" this thing though, right? It just maintains a fixed relationship to where you are? I get that it's programmable within certain parameters, but you can't STEER it or anything right?

That's exactly what I have been wondering, too.
It sounds like it will "loop" - I wonder if there are at least a few adjustments to THAT...... i.e. the size of the loop, the direction, etc?

Update on price from their website.
When does the $499 pre-sale price end?

We are selling the Lily Camera for $499 until June 15th, then it will progressively increase up to the regular retail price of $999.
When will Lily ship?

The Lily Camera will begin shipping in February 2016.

Interesting but I would want more control. I also wonder how durable it is? I can see it on a sky slope or river but I bet you would get limited when on streets or in the woods. That thing would be following you blindly and running into trees and buildings. Hope some sort of sensor is built in to detect objects in the flightpath.

Seems like a good idea but not practical. Unless current technology has advanced more than I am aware of.
