I have encountered the most annoying problem and it is super weird. Please read it all before replying:

I have a stuck/frozen pixel on my screen which ONLY appears in Photoshop (CS5). The pixel is white and will not move as I move the document around, it is fixed in the lower left corner.
It will not show up in any other program I run on my computer (Mac OS X 10.10.1Yosemite, MacBook Pro Retina 15")
At first it was green, now it's white.
This is where it gets REALLY weird: I can screenshot the frozen pixel and therefore I can rule out any hardware issues - that wouldn't show up on a screenshot.

I've googled the issue, and it seems like there are two random forum threads from 2011 with people having the same issue (in Photoshop only) but these threads were dead without an answer.

Anyone having any ideas what's going on?

As you can see it will show up on a screenshot..

1. ignore it

2. color it in with a black pen

Do one of the above and your soul will be saved.

From Adobe:
This appears to be graphic corruption. Let's do this test:

1. Go to Photoshop>Preferences>Performance.
2. Uncheck "Enable OpenGL Drawing", click OK.
3. Reopen the image.

If the behavior goes away, it is time to uninstall and reinstall the video driver for your video card.
