Thank you so much - it was great! I've watched a number of the tutorials on DPC but IMHO this is one of the best for really seeing a pro in action.

I may be crazy, but I was thinking we should all give it a try and post our results here. The hardest part I'm having with the idea is a) taking a self portrait and b) posting the original, uneditted version of my ugly mug. :)

I would LOVE to see what you all have learned from it!! And I know self portraits can be hard for some, and posting the originals is even harder...even for me! I had quite the internal struggle even entering that one. I almost never let people see my originals. So to post it in an open forum like this, was quite a thing to overcome. :) But I would love to see what you all tried out after watching my tutorial!

Thanks you for that tutorial. I have never considered myself anywhere close to the level of expertise with PS that you se to have achieved but it was quite relieving to see how you go through the exact same functions that I do just with more detail and patience. I was laughing when you were just moving sliders for selective color as if you had no idea what they would do. I do the same thing to see what would happen.

For me I think I need to really sit down and examine my skills as a function of time and what I mean by that is spend more time on each tool. Toggle between highlight, shadows and midtones on the burn and dodge tool or take more time using the healing tool for example. You're using the same basic tools that we all do but go into much more detail with them.

Thank you for sharing this!!
