| I early voted so I beat ya all to the votes.. but the sad thing the voting never stopped the calls (they started to call my CELL phone) urrgh.. and it didn't stop the ads either.. pppft |

| My excuse is that I'm in a strange foreign land. I might get to go somewhere crazy awesome on Thursday, but I won't say where. The photo will be on the front page for November's Freestudy soon enough. ;) |

I had taken a semi-break for a while ... decided recently to go ahead and shoot for the 1000 challenge entries mark. :-D |

The scores are what I expected to be, except for the last one. I try to figure out why this one gets so low votes.
Again I feel that comments (good or bad) are useful when the vote is low, and encouraging when the picture is nice and gets great votes.
For the moment I prefer not to comment too often, I feel that I don't master the skills yet to judge other's pictures.

5 in voting. Still need to come up with something for simplicity.
262 entries in the old simplicity challenge back in 2003. Oh they were painful to look through! Part of me wishes it was like the olden days -- huge number of entries, huge numbers of comments. Part of me thinks it's nice having a smaller group, because 260+ entries every challenge would get very old very fast. :)
But then again, there wasn't three challenges a week.
I do miss the open challenges -- having a choice between one of two things. But the small number of entries doesn't really make sense for that anymore. |
