...that for the first time, since i've been dpchallenging, at least, the top 3 photos were all taken with cameras that cost less than $1000?

In my case, it was more fluke than anything. Someone at work had borrowed my work camera (the E-20) and hadn't returned it to me by the end of the day on Friday -- so I took another work camera. *shrug*
