That's enough -- the post was rightly reported because it contained a clear declaration of intent to violate a Forum Rule. That part has subsequently been stricken. Case CLOSED.

We had the chance before she started causing trouble again. :P

Then you should follow all my postings and parse my words very carefully.

You will call me "Sensi" and I will call you "Little Grasshopper" and you will become as I am.

Let the teaching begin....

When I was competing, any negative PM I got about one of my comments during voting would automatically result in a drop of my vote on that image to a 1. That's what I'd suggest you do Lydia, even if you didn't even originally vote. It's up to you whether you then want to inform them of the change or not ;)

I cannot quite see what forum rule she was threatening to break. Do enlighten me.

...maybe rule #11, the "calling out" bit?

On another note...I always love your comments Lydia. They are much appreciated.

Just want to say, I've always appreciated your comments, regardless of if you had voted or just commented.

I hate everyone's votes and comments, you all suck.

Posting a PM counts as "calling out"? I find that a little surprising, but I suppose it makes sense at some level. In any case, I still think a good portion of this community are just way too fricken sensitive. It's one of the bigger reasons why ya'll are almost never cursed with my horrible comments any longer, too many whiners that take offense after entering something to be judged, and I don't really feel like self-regulating that much, it's just too damned painful to reword every thought into something PC enough for the thin-skinned to consume without pain.

Regardless, the rule exists and for good reason... "Be aware that others may have differing opinions of a personal attack, so use care when posting. Please note that this includes publicly "calling out" commenters (whether by name or not) in a hostile way." Posting negative PMs for the community to read and gossip over (which, sadly, is a major pastime in internet forums) certainly qualifies as "in a hostile way". If you don't like PMs you receive, the thing to do is bring them to SC's attention.

This is just silly.

My reason for wanting to post a PM was not to cause harm, but... to show that I get PMs after leaving comments and people think I've voted when I haven't, and call me out on it in those PMs. There seems to be some disbelief about this and I simply wanted to show my innocence.

I never intended anything "hostile" nor did I intend to post any commentor's name.

There is nothing at all in a "hostile manner" about posting someone else's comment and not giving an opinion on it.

There's CERTAINLY no way that this could be construed as "attacking others".

Repeating what someone says... exactly as they say it, is not slander or attacking someone. It's quoting them; that's legal everywhere, I think.

"...the post was rightly reported because it contained a clear declaration of intent to violate a Forum Rule."

I disagree. I never declared anything of the sort. I just said that I would post a quotation. And... frankly, I'm surprised that anyone would assume this from me either from my words on this thread or from my prior behavior over the past seven years here.

I was not going to reply any more to this because it's gotten way too silly for words, but... after I was accused of something I had not done, nor even intended to do... I thought I should defend myself.

WE know that, YOU know that, but THEY didn't know that. Since the phrase was decidedly ambiguous and causing comment, we had to pay some attention to it. It's no big deal, we can all agree on that. And hopefully we can all agree it's time to close this thread down, because that's what I am about to do...
