I think this challenge is definitley an advantage for people with good gear. I had problems with my shot as my camera does 2 images per second & maximum of 3. If I had something that could take 8 fps for 25 shots (What could that be?) It would have been easier. That said it was a fun challenge, I messed my photo up through inexperience, but Hopefully I have learnt something. Still over 5.0

I didn't use burst mode, just my great reflexes :) and I'm doing well at the moment. You just have to do your best with what you got.

I agree, kinda.......
Good gear is helpful, but technique is way more important. I know it helps if you have a camera with no shutter lag though. I must have taken 200+ pics before I got what I wanted...

I used flash, so having 5fps on my 20D didn't help much :-)

Actually I was happy with my photo, just totally messed it up by trying to do some basic post processing on an inadequate laptop with a non calibrated monitor. I checked my entry out here at work & felt soooo embarrased. It looks terrible! I don't think my boss would be happy if I took my Work PC home for the W.E. & My wife would walk out on me if I went to work in the W.E. & I can't afford a new computer! Does anyone have a few seeds from a money tree?? (Preferably Euros).

I was ready to throw my pc out the window last night. The photo in PS looked good but when I uploaded through AOL it was really crappy. Finally remember to upload through IE and it came out great.

I got mine totally without planning it. I was out doing other stuff when I spotted an opportunity, didn't get chance to put it in burst mode or anything like that. Just swung the camera up, focussed as best I could and fired a single frame.

It's holding 6 at the moment so I'm pretty happy, though the evening trolls have yet to appear.

A commenter complained about my composition. LOL, perhaps they forgot that when stuff flies, very fast, through thin air, composition gets hard to control! I think DOD should be considered.

At about 5.8 right now. Had fun with this one.

I had multiple shots of mine, but I guess I should have chosen a different angle cause people are asking where the motion is...oh, and that it looks staged...which it's not...hence the 4.2...

I'm sitting at a 4.3 for my entry which is about where I figured I'd be. I almost didn't enter this one, but figured I'd give it a shot.....

question about the way voting goes...if I vote on a pic and then later change my mind...I can revote on it right?

bbusybee, yes you can re-vote. I usually do an initial run through then go back for a longer look and comments. BTW, my shot is at a 4.3 right now. It was a last minute shot and I know it wouldn't do to well but I still like it. As long it finishes higher than my neon, which got better than it deserved! :)

Yes, you can adjust your votes as many times as you wish up until the time when voting closes.
