The former blue ribbon image of the Seattle skyline has been DQ'd for using too much distortion in the post processing.

Congratulations to our new ribboner and HM in this challenge.

Shame about the DQ. The detailed reason behind it is much appreciated, however.

there is a very detailed reason on the image page. i've never seen such a detailed explanation on a dq before, so good job to whoever did that.

The image seems to have disappeared from the challenge. Aren't DQs usually on the very last page? Nothing there as far as i can see.

Hah! I had the same problem myself! After I pushed the button to finalize the DQ, I went to the last page and it wasn't there and I said to myself "God, Bear, what have you DONE?" but I was looking in the wrong challenge...

As the soon-to-be pioneer family prepared to depart their verdant Maryland farm for St. Louis (the "Gateway to the West"), their young daughter stood by the wagon for a few moments in contemplative reflection.

"Good-bye house, we're going to Missouri," she said wistfully as she turned for a final look, "good-bye green grass, we're going to Missouri, good-bye God, we're going to Missouri ..."

Well, you know she didn't say, "Good-bye God, We're going to Missouri." She said, "Good! By God, we're going to Missouri!"

-adapted from Mark Twain as quoted by Hal Holbrook

You know, when I first looked at this photo on the main page, I did think that those buildings were somewhat strange looking.
I wonder what the original image looked like.
