After many years of being a DPC widow and waiting (not so patiently) while I stop the car every few minutes....."but honey it's for a challenge..." the love of my life, DebC has now finally decided to give it a try. While many of you have already met her in real life during our travels I would like to officially welcome her to the asylum.

... Yes I will be very upset if she 'Blues' before I do:)

Hi all. I am a true novice with a lot to learn. Decided to become a photo junkie after our USA trip last year when I came across a moose that I just had to photograph. The tables turned and MikeC had to sit in the car and wait for me for 45 minutes. Suffer!!!!

OMG is that weird or what? Start talking quad-copters, guys.

welcome, Debc to the halcyon fields of DPC.
there's no looking back now, unless, of course, you find a good image in the rearview mirrow.

LOL... I've read this a few times and don't get the quadcopter references in this thread(besides the looney bin part lol), but definitely feel free to educate me on this technology if you have the time in the thread that Bear mentioned :)

ETA: parsed the thread :)

Thanks all for your warm welcome and for the girls I will try my best to beat Mike!

@enlightened: would love to join you but we are in Europe and having a ball. Our eldest is moving to New York in June so we may be in your neck of the woods next year.

Run!!! Run as fast as you can!!! This place is waayyyyyy too addicting! You'll start planning your meals around what can be used in the macro challenge. You'll switch churches because yours isn't good enough for the architecture challenge. You'll raid your neighbors garden for the flowers challenge (without their knowledge).

When your husband trips over the cat on the stairs and breaks his leg, you'll yell: "go do it again!!! I missed the first time. It doesn't matter that you broke your leg -- it's an underFOOT challenge -- not leg! Go do it again!!"

Get out while you still are sane!!

(or -- welcome aboard. :)
