I'm tired of winning ribbons and trophies...I will need to think on this over a bottle of gin.

Thanks for that comment Mark much appreciated because I am still in the remedial class of learning, I have learned so much in these last few weeks it is very addicting.

Jules1x, I am right with ya and totally agree. I think with these attitudes, we will have nothing but fun

to any newbies, this is a great time. it forces you to shoot and learn alot, you get honest feedback from your teammates and its great interaction.

+10 exactly.

If you are here to learn the TPL is the place.
Probably one of the best things on DPC is the TPL.

this might be what i need to kick myself in the arse and actually enter the photos i take instead of just shooting and editing.
count me in as #30 and be prepared to be underwhelmed by my patented brand of mediocrity mixed with a flagrant disregard for what the dpc masses think of as exceptional imagery.

heavy amounts of honesty, sarcasm and scathing wit will be included at no extra charge ;-)

Guys...you might like to put an explanation as to what TPL is...we have quite a few newbies on board that don't have a clue what this is...

Also, would it be possible to be able to pick 3 of our teammates and you'll assign the last 3 to balance out the score averages...IMO this would give some established members a chance to work together and we still make new friendships...think about it...please

but what happens when everybody wants me on their team? i can only do a finite amount and that's just far too much pressure to put on me.

GAH! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO??? ;p

honestly though, i do think there is something to be gained from allowing a mix-match of designated veterans as team leaders and picking 1 or 2 people each.

We can only "HOPE" anyone would want us!!! I'm making some assumptions here!!!

I'd write more on what league is but I'm traveling and on my phone and that's a usually a disaster as Robert will attest to!!!

As much as I'd like to have some old teammates on my team, being able to pick your teammates defeats the point (IMO) and opens the league up to unfair/unbalanced power groupings.

Here is the original TPL thread with a lot of discussion prior to it starting.

I also agree with Garry.

hmm.. you mean like "drafted" and "undrafted" free agents similar to the NFL - I like the sound of it! I will most likely go undrafted. I don't mind going against ribbon hogs nor going with a "balanced" power grouping - I just want to be in a team.

Well I disagree with Mark who agrees with Gerry...(snicker). My earlier suggestion did have the stipulation that if we could pick 3 of the teammates the other three would counter balance the average scores of the first three...thus creating the same effect.

I would further propose that team member switching is allowed ONLY UNTIL THE 1/2 WAY POINT OF LEAGUE...no further

There that should stir the hornets nest pretty good...
