Lots of options without using a weapon..

Thanks, I initially had the same thoughts as Kroburg

Noooooooooo!

Anti-gun picture with guns?
Going to the gym to work on the guns?
Gun With the Wind?

Glad I saw this list...as I don't own a "gun" but I do own several of these "guns"...

I loveee guns and and am a gun enthusiast, my mind is just racing to figure out how to get this shot in..

What about water pistols?
05/08/2014 11:46:11 AM · #106
You better watch out, SaraR. I'll be bringing in the BIG GUNS.

(honestly, I have no idea what to do for this. We might have an old water pistol somewhere here...)

I'll enter just so I can give MeMex2 a run for her money.

It's taken me a while to get something planned but I'll be shooting Tuesday evening. Nothing like leaving it until the last minute!

I have an entry (pfff) and I like it, but I don't have any clue how it will score.

I hope you're bringing your A game Henk. Got my entry in up. ;)

Seriously. Had a hard time shooting for this one. Have no clue how the masses will rate this one.

I could shoot a self-portrait and call it "A Son of a Gun". Nah. I guess not.

Good luck ... at least you shot something you like. (Bad choice of words for a gun challenge).

I'm in, I don't much like it, and I am pretty sure it will get panned. Actually I had two like that and couldn't decide which I liked least. :-) As long as Patsy enters, pretty sure she will move on to round 2.

Paul, I am totally intimidated by this pairing. HOWEVER, that just makes me work harder. Prepare to fall - and let me express my sincere apologies for taking out the founder of the challenge in the first round.

It's just as well; frees him up to concentrate on challenge administration and dispute arbitration :-)

Looks like you'll probably move on - my great ideas ran out of time. Now, I'm nowhere near a computer. It would take a miracle to pull a shot out now.

I have an entry in as well. I am happy with the shot but not the processing. Hopefully I will have a bit of time to polish it up tonight.
05/13/2014 03:22:39 PM · #116
Mark - Put the polish away! I have enough pressure ;-) My shot is in as well but I believe it's going to be a love or hate it shot. Good Luck!

I'm in too. Like many of us, I'm not sure how well it will be received.

Oh, I know very well how my image will be received. But getting a very low score can be ok as well, it's all about the difference with your average, both positive or negative. Or do I make a mistake in thinking this way?

I'm in - I think it is OK; took a bit of organising.

I've been so busy with work and buying a house/selling a house, I had zero time for any photography the past month so getting a low score is what I've pretty much earned lately!

An Expert challenge for the next round. That's a curve ball.

Remember you won't know whether yo've won the Guns round or not until after Guns rollover - so, we'll all need to shoot for the Avatar challenge.

I thought the Guns challenge was a curve ball.

I don't do 'Avatar' self-portraits and not a fan of 'Expert' challenges anyway, so I hope you crush me this week Cynthia ( cynthiann) and move forward.

Otherwise (should I get lucky and advance to round two) it will be an automatic 'bye' week for whoever I'd be paired with.
05/14/2014 08:10:28 AM · #124
I don't plan on doing the avatar challenge either..

Different angle
I just may throw something out there for fun just to learn lighting and composition just for the heck of it..
and giving me a chance just to take pictures of something.

I hate guns, I hate making avatars, but (sometimes) it's fun doing things you don't like and (luckily) it will not become by default your avatar.

And with a little luck I can beat the score of my last self portrait :)
