no telling how far off the future really is, but i think that a large part of digital image capture, especially from a corporate/commodity standpoint will be relegated to equipment technicians, using cool gadgets like this


they will be setting up gear that a remote editor will control.

and that is why kids playing video games today are actually training for the jobs of tomorrow. just wait and see. think about it. 20 years from now, there will probably be no such thing as a "commercial pilot", at least in terms of having someone on-board.

as for photographers, well, there is going to be a whole new set of skills to learn, and most of them will have nothing to do with "the image"...

That's remarkable, and actually would be extremely beneficial for some of the ideas for tooling around with video that I have.

It will be very funny to see how many of these are stolen while making surf or any other sport "alone"... ;-)
