Wow. Check this out. A sad day, I bought q fair amount of equipment from them and was always impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Shutting down in this way does not say good things, though. Glad I don't have any equipment with them at the moment.

No!!! There's no carbon fiber tripods around here, stores in Richmond told me I'd have to go to calumet in DC... :(

I wish I had rented something... it sounds like there's no way of returning it.

Yipes! We have (had?) a Calumet store in San Francisco and their employees have been wonderful & professional people.
Not only is this store where I get many supplies and photo paper, I feel terrible for those dedicated employees.

Yeah, I had seen that. Sorry to hear; I had ordered from them in the past and they were VERY good. They didn't always have the availability of Adorama/B&H but the service was top notch when I used them.
