Cool! I never "refrigerate" my subjects. What a great alternative tip!

I disagree with this. Chilled insects will have a phase as they warm up in which they pose very naturally.

This is a good trick, but only if you want to photograph them on a flat surface. It won't work if you want them on a twig, flower, leaf, etc.
