I didn't want to hijack other threads in the forum, so I started a specific one: very soon I'll be in the time-lapse world rather seriously. I am reading a lot stuff about controlling cameras using external devices, but not sure of what I need and what I can do following this path. My cameras are D600 and D7000 and my devices are iPhone 3Gs and Kindle Fire HD. Of course I have computers, but when you have to bring 2 cameras, 4 lenses and 2 tripods there's no room for a computer :)

I have been using DSLRDashboard for android recently. Timelapse (including an LRTimelapse mode),Focus stacking, seriously extended bracketing options, sound trigerring, the works.Completely free. An android 4.0+ mobile (or even better for live view, tablet) can be had for next to nothing these days.

Thanks for the advice guys. I had downloaded Triggertrap app, but not used it yet. I should try DSLRDashboard too. I made a few tries changing the exposure between the shots (I had the histogram visible on the right of the screen) and then fixed frame by frame in Lightroom - slow process but good result.

Tome not sure of Go Pro - great overall quality but no chance of having RAW files and the flickering problems can be annoying, especially because I can't have control over the exposure values. I was on the beach to shoot some sequences yesterady and I had Go Pro with me but no chance to try, but I will :)

This is one I've worked frame by frame in LR: Velino

It's a private link, the password is alexkc

Even though it's a resized and compressed version, enjoy it in HD ;)
