There is at least one DPC'er covering the Olympics. He hasn't been active here for a long time (actually, he was never all that active here at all, but did participate in a few of our local get-togethers... one of which sent him to the emergency room with food poisoning, but that's another story...).
 JaredWickerham has moved up the ranks pretty quickly, covering a lot of very high profile sporting events for Getty these last few years. It has been fun to see him progress from eager college kid to where he is today. He has been posting a few shots from Sochi on his Facebook page as the games approach.

Anyone else heading over?? I'm flying out tomorrow evening with my family to support my little sister in slopestyle skiing. Pretty excited!!

That's awesome. Good luck to Kaya! I hope you will get a chance to share some pictures of the trip. I've got a nephew hoping to go to Rio for the 2016 games in weightlifting. I'd love to hear how your experience goes. |

Fantastic!!! I know another Olympic dad (swimmer Katie Hoff's dad). "Knowing" someone competing puts a whole other spin on the Olympics :)

| Thanks guys! I'll be sure to update on whether things are really as bad as they seem. I think I should be in luck because as I understand it, our hotel had already been constructed a while back. |
