I'll accept that, but nor is it a photograph... :) Animals would have had me beaten.... ;)

Oh, yeah. No need to give the name of the artist, band, or group. </sarcasm>

As I recall, The Beatles' "White Album" did OK, and I'm pretty sure the title wouldn't have shown up in the average digital photo ...

Actually the very first issues had the serial number. The all had "The Beatles" embossed on it. Hard to do in photography...

So again I say "Really????"

:)

Nobody bought Abbey Road or Led Zeppelin IV, either.

Really? Score is sub-4 and now I'm going to get a DQ because no one in their right mind would run a album cover challenge and not allow added text - except dpc. Next, let's run a Calendar challenge and not allow number or letters. Or perhaps a book slip cover challenge and not allow text. I should have submitted an all white box. Now that would have been creative! Knowing dpc voters, blue would go to someone else that also submitted an all white box, and mine would score below 5, with a comment that there is nothing of interest in the picture.

Kudos to all youse who took the time to create the album cover without adding text. Good on you to have the time to study the rules and get them right.

I just woke up and looked at the vote tracker -- two 1s and a 2 so far.

This was all photographed text... really not that hard to do.

Exactly. In honesty, I think it's a bit ridiculous to not have added an extra rule stating one may add text, but only as an album title or something. My text didn't take long and most of it was best photographed, but for a lot of the entries it must have been tedious. And besides, isn't adding text via photograph the same thing as simply writing it in expert editing rules?

well, i ain't got text, nor going to make the top 5 lol.

We can, of course, click the button 'Click here if you suspect a rules violation' of all submitted images with text. Lots of work for the SC, but the good thing is that the top 5 winners probably have their submissions evaluated already when the voting period ends.

It took 5 minutes to get my text...

It took me a while to figure out exactly how to do the text, but when I did, it was remarkably easy.

I don't there is any text added on the entries which couldn't be done by the method Paul suggested - print out the text, photograph then blend in photoshop or wherever.

That's how I added mine (except I didn't bother to print it out).

What he said, there are ways and means... :)
