There was a wolf camera near my home but they have closed down. I really don't want to mail it off but I will if I have to. does anyone know of a camera repair location near Hickory, North Carolina? or any other suggestions will be welcomed! :D

My D300 is showing EE and I've tried lots of fixes from the internet with no luck. Thanks!

I'd always recommend letting the manufacturer do the work...

Well, the cost to get it fixed is probably near the same as getting another used one.
You can go to KEH and see an excellent condition is $399, to get if fixed via there repair center is $230.

The reason I bring up KEH though, is you are likely not going to find a cheaper repair than $230, and a Nikon Service center will be more than buying another used one.

As for your EE, error. I know you looked on the internet, but have you tried mounting different lenses to the camera (specifically your kit lens?)
Usually EE means that the aperture isn't locked down (if you are using the 50mm D, you would have to engage the orange tab at F22).

EE is also known for a bad batter, you may try to replace it if you have a spare.

Hope that helps.

Precision camera repair turned my repair around in 2 weeks and that included shipping time back and forth. They also did the repairs for Sony warranty's but work on any camera.

I called Nikon awhile back (18 months)when my D80 control sensor went bad. They told me that they have a minimum charge of $50-75 (it's been awhile). And that was to "look" at it and Dx the problem. BUT they apply that $$$ towards any repairs that you authorize. AND they will not charge more than $250 (again...it's been awhile) for a totally refurbished camera with a 6 month warranty. To me that's worth it. I haven't sent mine in yet but that is the route that I'll take. I really think the best place to have the work done is by and AUTHORIZED Nikon Service Dealer. I do not remember what the turn around time was. Again I would call and talk to someone in service.

This is the same place that I sent a Fuji S3 Pro to a few years ago. After receiving the camera, they gave me a quote of 400, got my ok, fixed the problems, and charged exactly the amount quoted.
Service was performed and completed and the camera returned per their estimated time as well..
I recommend them too.
