# 97 ~ When the dentist shows you an image of your cavity and asks what you think and you reply "Nice, I like the color and composition... Great Depth of Field but you overexposed that cuspit on the upper right,,, I give it an 8"

True story... I just got back home... When I looked at the expression on his face, I understood my mistake and blamed it on the NitricOxide

#98 you know you're addicted when you watch and read a thread for 6 days even though you can't think of anything to add! - off to La belle France for 3 weeks, good luck to all in the 'Corporate World' and 'Something Old' challenges.

Uh, "before someone gets hurt" the ansthetic gas is Nitrous Oxide. "Nitric" is altogether different and probably fatal (as is Nitrous unless one is breathing oxygen along with it).

I'll have to dig out Isaac's ultrasound photos which I used on his "birth announcement."

The server is a Compaq Proliant M370 and it has a Compaq SmartArray 5300 RAID controller...

On this particular server, I have a disaster recovery plan in place.. I have 6 replacement drives ready to rollout with the OS already installed (Windows 2K Advanced Server) as well as MS SQL Server v7. With those two pieces in place, all i had to do was replace the controller, replace the drives, restore my backups and restore some minor other applications... it's mainly watch and shove discs in the CD drive :)

I think they would arrest me if i tried to bring my camera into work, then it would probably lock up in the server room anyway. Its only 1am here on the west coast, but I remeber being at work until5:30 am rebuild half of the san clusters, after someone decided to format the the external disk enclosures that had the clusters quorum disks on it... well i learned a great leason there, not to have all your eggs in the same basket...

I'm the lucky one with my camera here... I have a 'camera pass' that allows me to take photographs inside the facility now... I also get asked to do some fun stuff like THIS sometimes... this is a 1939 model motor grader that we are going to restore as an employee project :)

I just got back from work -- burning some backup files to DVD and copying my laptop disk to a hard drive so I can take it in for repair...tiny potatoes compared to what you have. Just saw something in a magazine (ad?) relating to the NFL Carolina Panthers and how they back up their 6TB of data...and yet I still get printing jobs on floppy disks!
