Hi everyone,
I'm having issues with opening my RAW files with CS6. I shoot RAW+JPEG and I always have 2 copies of the same picture in my macbook; one JPEG and one RAW. I have always been able to open both file types without any issues. But now, when I want to open a photo in CS6, I still see 2 copies of the same photo when I want to "open" the file but the RAW picture is being identified as a Jpeg in the CS6 file! When I open my library in iPhoto I am still able to view my RAW and Jpeg files...what's wrong with my Photoshop program?? Thanks!

I have closed your other threads with this same post. Hopefully someone will be able to help, but posting 3 threads on the same issue doesn't help us -- it just looks like spam.

+1 on what frisca said...listen to her. Anyone with a tricked-out profile avatar is a member of the Site Council and you do NOT want to piss them off.

Now in terms of your issues...first off are you on a PC or a Mac? Have you recently upgraded anything? For example, I'm on a Macmini and am having to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mac OS Mavericks...all because I upgraded my camera body. Now I have huge RAW files that are beyond the capability of iPhoto to import, and PS CS5 to handle.

What camera did you recently upgrade to?

Make sure you have the latest updates for PS, Raw files need to be opened in Bridge first or some other Raw editor like lightroom. If it worked before what have you recently changed or updated, more info would be helpful.

He's not paying any attention to us, apparently. :-(

He PM'd me and as he mentioned having a Mac, I suggested that he try PM'ing scalvert. Which should work out well as Shannon also shoots Canon. (Dumb rhyme unintended)

Ahh, could also be related to the Mavericks update. I remember seeing an advisory from Adobe but didn't pay attention since I don't use Mac.
