theFREDfactor requested I open a discussion:

I have not been able to log in for almost 2 days now. Each time I try to log in I get the following message: ""Your request has caused an internal error. The administrators have been notified of this error. Please try again later." Is anyone else experiencing this also? Well we won't know will we as if you cannot log in you cannot tell your story. That's why I contacted Amanda to place my message here. I have contacted site council but have had no reply or response so far. Very frustrating as I am worried that I will not be able to upload my entry for the "CLOSED" challenge if this issue is not resolved in time.
Regards Fred Ps. Please open a discussion thread about this in the general forum as I cannot see the members forum while not being able to log in.

I have the same message but can still log in! The message also comes up at the bottom of the page in the forums.

there still seem to be intermittent errors -- right now, I can log in using Firefox but get the error with Explorer.

Not sure if the problem is a glitch in the DPC code (I think Langdon's been trying to make some tweaks) or with Sargasso (the hosting company).

Your request has caused an internal error. The administrators have been notified of this error. Please try again later.

i can log in fine, but this error message above is at the bottom of this thread,

I still can't vote though.

I tried this morning and it was working for me.

I also can't start a new PM -- it causes internal errors.

Real problems logging in this end too. I get that error message on all pages and could not log in on any of my PCs or Mac or iPad. I have just logged in using Firefox though I am sure it didn't work in Firefox when this issue occured yesterday.

Nice to be in again:)

I haven't been able to log in for over a day (on iPhone, iPad, or desk top) until I read Fred's tip above.
Clicking remember my password did the trick. Thanks Fred.

With my Windows pc I have no issues anymore
My Apple on the other hand...

I managed to login in with my Apple thanks to the trick mentioned (remember pw)

However, I just can't upload an image in a challenge.
I always get the message "An error occured : IO error"
File is the right size etc.

I hope this issue will get resolved asap so that I'm able to enter.
13 hours and 19 minutes left to do so

Oh my, a vote! And it's a 5. Wow. A vote a day will keep the ribbons away
08/15/2013 11:16:58 AM · #16
Wow... finally succeeded to enter in the challenge. But how

A direct upload in the challenge didn't work.
So I uploaded my entry from my Apple pc into my workshop with the classic uploader.
I tried to enter it that way into the challenge, but this didn't work either.
This last step I did with my Windows computer and this worked.
So, with some detours, but yes! I managed to enter my submission.

Still no reply to my e-mail about all this to Site Council. Is Site Council aware of the problem and if so is something being done to sort it out? Would be nice if Site Council gave some feedback. I also cannot upload my entries and I also cannot vote.

Have you tried the way of working I described above?
Took me a while to figure it out, but finally my entry is in and that's what counts a few hours before voting round starts.

I got the photo into my workshop ok from my MAC last night.

This morning I tried to enter it into a challenge both from my iPad and from my PC but the "Copy from Workshop" button is non-responsive.

I am able to login on all devices so long as I check the remember my password button. But the only thing it seems I am able to do is write this message. So there you have it.

So guess what else I can do ..... COMMENT!!!!

Maybe that's what we should be doing. The vote didn't take but the comment is still there!

Langdon has been notified -- if the problem is with the DPC code itself then he's the only one who can do anything about it.

I don't know whether Sargasso Networks has been notified to see if it is their problem.

BTW Fred: I posted what I knew about four hours ago, when I was finally able to log-in from work ... I guess you missed that.

Thank you for following through. Hopefully the issues will get worked out.

In the meantime.... I reiterate... if you're bored (or whatever) the one thing we CAN do is comment !!!

folks! we got trouble
- trouble, trouble -
right here, right here in DP City...
08/17/2013 07:49:28 PM · #25
Langdon - as of last evening I cannot sign on...I continue to receive this message "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.dpchallenge.com". I have Brighthouse ISP. They have started a ticket for me. Is there a solution? I've read this thread but no answer.

1) Internet (home computer(s) will not connect to DPC (this is the only website that will not connect)
2) cell phone will only connect IF Wi-Fi is disabled on my cell phone. (It has taken me all day to find this thread via my cell phone)
3) son in law has same ISP provider...he tried to access...he can not access DPC.
4) we have re-set, re-booted, erased all cookies on our computers - modems

Any help would be appreciated...I want back in....hmmmm maybe that's it...I've been locked out??? I'm going to cut/copy to the other thread.

We have Google Chrome for our browser - we have tried Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari - none work
