I gave Wendy an 8 and you a 6. The biggest differences for me..

1. Wendy achieved a true black background as opposed to a dark gray. Certainly not a DNMC offense but it was worth a point off IMO.
2. I preferred Wendy's composition.

If it helps Casey feel better, I think she has wonderful eyes. ;-)

Casey the Cat is taking it pretty hard!

oh, come on! I stuck my husband in the river with a bath brush. It can't be all that bad...

Your husband was in Everyday objects not in Black

I've been trying to convince her that it's me, not her, that they're rejecting.

I thought he was commenting on the entire front page. I thought I'd point out that there must be something redeeming in sticking a husband in a shower cap. :)

Mo plays fetch with pink plastic milk rings. That's always worth an extra point. :)

I can just hear the conversation with the insurance adjustors and police detectives:

"Officer, I had NO IDEA that is was dangerous to put a power cord in water. The cuts in the insulation? Oh, my cat scratched it. Why did I take out such a large insurance policy a week ago on my husband? I know you will find this shocking, but I had a premonition that he would die early and leave me with just my birds and camera gear as friends. Just in case, I wanted to make sure that I could afford better lenses if I were left on my own."

It probably was pretty stupid to show the evidence on DPC, wasn't it...

Three more animals - in a free study. What was it about limited options again?

edit: wait! Actually the top 7 photographs include animals. That's kind of funny... I know you'll say that some aren't pets, but come on :)

I saw this and was quite surprised.
There were plenty of options to choose from, yet many of the top scoring were animals. Hmmmmm...

I like it better than the days of landscapes, personally. But I don't think I've ever seen it before. And I didn't even make it to voting this time around! :)

Well I had an animal for FS and I thought it was an unusual capture - couldn't even claw my way up to a tiny violin LOL
