I wanted to see how well my coloring was so I shoehorned my last entry. I think it came out pretty decent.
I still prefer the pink though :) |

Coloring worked fine. Image seems a ;long way from critical focus though :-( |

Focus is definitely off. I need to calibrate my camera as whenever I shoot wide open with my 70-200 it front focuses. In fact I really need to do that asap. |

Hate to say it, but the coloring is a bit off as well.
Particularly on her right shoulder (left portion of the picture) - where the strap has gone green, as has her skin. |

How far away were you from her? Your zoom setting? I think her eyes and teeth are in fine focus.
If you'd set the F-stop at 5.6 you might have satisfied the peeps who have to see the whole subject in focus. I thought it was fairly nice, gave it a 6, I almost gave it a 7 but something about the way the background shapes interacted with your subject kept me from that. It's all subjective, you did a fine job. |

The coloring is far from perfect but it was an excellent exercise for me. I was around 155mm at 2.8 maybe 8' from her. The 100% crop shows that the focus completely missed. Ok to cheat with web or a small print but this wasn't an image the client was shown, I had plenty with sharp focus, but I had a few throwaways from not having the camera calibrated. When you aim to sell large canvas products, you gotta nail the focus :) |
