Hello Everyone

I'm planning to join the Open Challenge. After uploading my photo, I realised that there are no categories for me to choose from (eg. nude, landscape, portrait, etc). Am I missing something?

Thanks.

If you go to My Home > My Portfolio you'll see your uploaded photo in the top row. If you select it you can see lower on the page (underneath the Lens list) two dropdown lists for Site Galleries.

Is this what you mean?

You don't need to pick a category. I never do.

Though it can be problematic if you get a nude on the front page. I try to add the nude gallery as soon as I can but bohemka's work-around is really useful.

We used to be able to add the categories at the point of entry but that option disappeared a while ago.

Good point, but I think the op is saying there isn't a category that fits his image.

I did exactly that but there is no drop down lists for Galleries at all. I wonder how the previous Open Challenge people did it. Just curious.

Thanks for helping!

My Home >> My Portfolio >> Click on the thumbnail of your entry >> Drop down menus for categories should be available.

Hello hahn23,

I am a member - maybe it's different for registered users? But here is what I see if I follow hahn23's instructions. I have dropped down the menu so you can see where it would be - just in case you, too, got this page but didn't know where to look next.

I don't think its those he wants - it's the site gallery drop downs level with 'Current Challenge' in that screen grab.

Angkokweng - as a Registered User do you have a 'Workshop' under 'My home' - you can upload there and add the gallery tages and then enter the challenge from the workshop - there is an upload option for that.

As a registered user he wouldn't have a workshop, nor a portfolio to manage, so this might be part of the problem. But still he should be able to "edit the details of this photo" for his entry, to change the title, for example. Perhaps he should dig around in that area and he might find the dropdown lists.

Maybe an SC member could answer?

I think that, without a Portfolio, this can only be done after the voting is completed. The gallery category drop-downs disappeared from the challenge entry page when the upload process was tweaked a while back.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for taking time to reply. Please see below:

There is no site galleries. By the way, I contacted SC member. I followed the instruction but I still can't find site galleries.

Thanks.
