I was playing around with my canon power shot (A70 i think)...and whenever ive taken pictures of people it ends up with really bad red eye. (im mainly using the camera for snapshots.) is there any setting on the camera or anything that would help reduce that? thanks!

find a way to bounce the flash. Try out this link.

im not really doing like "real" photography tho...just got this camera cuz its small and easy to carry around and take pics of my friends while we're goofing off or whatever. (and to document my final year of marching band.) i just wasnt sure if maybe i used a different setting if it would help some

The problem is usually the fact that the flash is so close to the lens, that the lens will catch the reflection from the flash. None of the setting will be able to help ya much I hate to say

Red-eye reduction mode(not guaranteed)will ususally help, almost all on board flashes will give red eye.
