I did significantly better than anticipated with my entry last year. So I'll be game! Not sure if I have anything arty though -- will have to dredge through the catalogs for this one!

Last year's entry:

I kept a folder for this challenge all year. Not that there's anything that great in it, but still . . . I loved participating last year - both entering and voting.

It was fun last time, it'd be just as much fun this time!

This would be great. I would love to see what interesting gems folks can find from from what they shot last year.

And if this for some reason does not get accepted, can we please have a fine arts challenge, we didn't have one last year ;(

I'm all for this. Not that I have anything particularly in mind I'm sure I could find something that I would like to share in a challenge like this. I really did enjoy voting on last years entries.

I'd love to see them going again.

I'm sure I could find something. This type of challenge is always fun to browse and score.

Yes, please!

Isn't all photography, by definition, art?
How is it any different than the Best of 2012?
Last years challenge looks like a free study without landscapes.

It was also a juried challenge, unlike the Best of 2012.

' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/1000-1999/1538/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1004546.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/1000-1999/1538/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1004546.jpg', '/') + 1) . '

Remember this? It makes a good argument for Expert editing rules. Allow as much editing freedom as possible, to avoid possible DQs for editing, which in an art challenge makes no sense at all. JMO.

Agree - and there will be different sets of winners owing to the presence of jury or juries.
