Gators don't hibernate - it's just waiting for you to get close enough.

It was a balmy 50F yesterday when he nabbed the possum. Today though, it's snowing. Maybe I should bring him a blanket and the neighbor's cat.

Good idea - toss the cat into its mouth to distract it, then use the blanket to wrap the head up before you wrestle the thing back into the box. ;)

Well, in that case, use the cat the same way, and trade the blanket for a small wading pool under the desk...

Bonus: No need for those pesky frequent restroom trips while you're trying to get work done.

You're supposed to publish a shot of the box "as received" and a shot of what you took out. This thread is all about roadkill now and it's kind of destroying the BOC fun, which is about following the pictures and seeing what gets appropriated. I don't even know if YOU are the lucky one who needed my fabulous piece of crap :-(

Can I be in? I am notoriously too late for this sort of thing.... but I have some good carp!

Looks like I'm going to beat cowboy to the punch with my pics...

This is the box of crap pretty much as it was when I opened it...I got excited and took everything out before I took pics so this is the stuff that was in it minus the item I took after I repacked it for the shot.

This is the item I took. I grabbed it because I do not have a 3 way tripod head and I have a tripod without a head. Thanks whoever put it in. My guess is that this was Bear's.

I added several items including one nearly identical to something already in the box when I received it. As to what those are...I'm not telling that's a surprise for tjbel05 and those further down the line. I will say that the box is quite full.

Enjoy.

P.S. Thanks to Spiffy for getting this started and to everyone who added craptastic crap to the box.

His previous tripod head of course. ;)

The wad of duct tape is a wad of duct tape of course.

Buried inside the wad, which was securely fastened by even more duct tape to the head and the pan knobs for the tripod head, are two spare QR plates for the tripod head.

The contents of the box have changed quite a lot since I had it.

There's still some of the original contents in it, however.

I'm thinking of advising which components could profitably be chucked if the box is getting too jammed, since they've yet to find a home. And, btw, the gorillapoddy thing I took from the box busted the first time we used it :-(

I think the box needs to go back to Bear for a second draw.

Thanks again. It will get good use for sure. Hopefully, my crap will be just as useful to someone else down the line.

If some of my items are still in it when it gets back to me after 10 stops, I may remove and replace them. On the other hand, new people are regularly asking to be added, and one of them may actually want those items.
