This is my Hope out-take. I like it, but I decided not to submit it since religious topics are not really well scored here.
Please post your Hope 'cancellations'

Its not exactly centered perfectly, but this is a very nice image. The contrasting colors are great, I would've gave it a 7 (if you fixed the centering ;) )

here is my outtake. I did not enter this because it is a bit over edited for an open challenge and the basic edited one did not please me.

Actualy not soi much editing just some unsharp mask, any thoughts?

Excellent for "Hope"; your non-outtake must be awesome, too, if this is an outtake!

Left a comment on this - I think it is very moving for "Hope" and I really thought the title was superb.

Johnpink, frumoaznicul these shots are simply touching! I love hope being shown with people's emotions!

I didn't enter this one, because I didn't have time for the post-process yesterday. It was taken on Sunday:

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions.

These are two of my contenders...

'In the Face of Adversity'

This one didn't really scream hope to me. Also, I felt that the fisherman was just out of focus enough to be distracting. I tried sharpening a bit but it took away from the impact of the breaking wave.

'Hope is all that's left'

This one did scream hope to me, however, it was more of a lack of hope. I figured that this challenge was more about possitive thoughts so I ultimately x-ed it last night. End result is that I have submitted nothing for this challenge. :(

My first pic for this challenge was titled "hoping for a ribbon..."

This is the other photo i was considering for my submission to the hope challenge, but i couldn't adjust my levels so that i got the right tones without some extra noise happening. Any idea on how i could have edited this photo better? Notice the noise in the top right corner. I'll post a before and after.

I decided not to use this one because I thought the idea would probably be overdone. I kind of wish I would have submitted it now.
