I'm on the other side of the world from most of you guys, and I often have trouble working out when the challenges are supposed to finish. Is there any chance you could add a date and time thingy to the home page so I know exactly what time it is for the things that matter on this site?

LOL, Now in about one hour and 20 minutes from now...it will be 12 am in NYC...Now, when the server time at the bottom of the page turns around 12 am ET....then look at your local clock and see your time...at that point...use THAT time to use for your challenge deadlines....on Sundays and Tuesday nights or days...now, if you are a head a day from NYC time that's another story....

Ah-ha, yes it does. I have been over seas twice on a Navel ship...time zones jacked me up....

Ok, I love to figure things like this out...where are you and what time zone?

I'm on the east coast of Australia:- Brisbane, Queensland. We DON'T have daylight saving in this state, whereas the other eastern states do! Since its still winter here, that doesnt come into calculations at the moment for here....BUT....does NY have it? and when does it finish???
You can see why I need to have the time showing on the page, just so I don't have to bother with the calcs :)

Hmmm, just thought of something...today (your time) watch the server time again. At 12 am EST, the challenge(s) will either start or end...However, it will be Weds. here in the US, no problem...still the same day now...it's all about the server time and your local time, to know when to meet any challenge deadline(s). You are about 11 hours ahead of us here in the US. I don't think the days will fool you...or better yet...just make out a calender to view of time and days to meet the deadlines...hope this helps...

Hey I have been to Perth...lovely city and clean...and folks are wonderful to say the least...G'day to ya..:) Hmmm, now I understand the issue...oh brother...(slaping my hand to forehead). You mean does NYC time have daylight savings time? Yep, Our first day of Winter here is Dec. 21st, we move our clocks back one hour GMT Time. And then foward one hour in Our Summer June 20th....both times happen at 1 am EST or (NYC) time. 2am here in Central Time...Missouri State..this is.

Again, I would just stick to the server time and a calender and mark the times and dates...:) Stay away from any math...:)...Oh, now I got a headache...:)

I get a headache every time I try to work out daylight savings in other places in the world, so don't feel bad dustin. If the time is there on the page, it saves me from having to do the calculations, cos all I need to know is when the challenge finishes.
