I'm in... and also, I forgot to put this on that original sign up, but if I could please be on a team with Memex2 and Cuttooth, that would rock and bring back some DPL memories... thanks again

I'd like to get the rules clarified in case I understand them incorrectly.
Ultimate scores for entries (like was done in WPL) will be used instead of their finishing percentile number (like was done in DPL2), is this correct?

Thanks :)

A bit of both, if you want exact ism then you will need to talk Cory, Niall or espi..

Thanks much for the response MAK. Seems it would have been helpful to have the specifics of this nailed down early before so many people signed up so as to have them know exactly what they are getting into. If just scores are used (or even partly), outcome of the matches will likely hinge on whether there are any expert challenges that week and whether a team has many members with the time/skill to do this kind of processing. I truly hope I am wrong, but if people suddenly realize they have a lesser chance of being competitive if they don't have that time/skill for expert processing, participation may wane. But best of luck to you and I hope everyone who has committed stays committed so everyone can have lots of fun :)

This sounded pretty clear to me (bolded parts for emphasis). What's the question Brent? Looks like it's based on scores (nothing said about percentages).

2013 Team Photo League Rules

Team Photo League is a league-based competition between 6-photographer teams, contested within the established framework of DPC weekly challenges.

Teams will be divided into two leagues, and the leagues will compete independently of each other.

A “season” will consist of as many weeks as required for each team in a league to play each other team in that league once.

After the end of the season, the two league-winning teams will face off against each other after a 2-week hiatus to determine the Grand Champion.

Competition will take place in the three regularly-scheduled, weekly DPC challenges: currently these are the Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday challenges. Free studies and any special challenges will not count in this competition. If in any given week one or more of these three challenges is not held by DPC, then the competition will utilize whichever official challenges ARE run that week.

Team scores will be determined by the 4 best scores by team members that week. A team member may only contribute one score per week.

The winning teams get 3 pts per matchup, and the losing team gets 0 pts. In the unlikely event of a tie (team averages identical in a weekly matchup) each team will receive 1 pt that week.

A team whose 6 members all make entries in a given week will receive a 0.5 pt bonus for that week win or lose.

If fewer than 4 team members contribute an entry in a given week, the team will receive 0 pts towards its average for each player fewer than 4 to compete.

We will be selecting teams on the info we have received, if there is someone you would rather play AGAINST then PM me and I will make it happen.

Merry Xmas
