I have been debating about this for two reasons- 1) I know there may be one week when I can't enter because I am away for work and 2) I am not sure how this all works. So I am wondering if we can wait until the rule-set is announce or will sign up be cut off by then?

Thanks for getting this going Marac. I don't believe I will be able to participate regularly, so I don't think I should sign up. I hope this helps bring energy and passion to these old halls.

There will be plenty of time to sign up after the rules are confirmed

I pity the poor bastards on my team, although I pledge to do my best.

Looking good thanks very much Marac and all of the team for setting this up.

Ok I signed up reluctantly, but I probably won't have a team since I didn't want to be in it from the beginning, lol!

Why would you want to sign up for something reluctantly? surely if you know you wont be interested it seems like a waste of your time and the effect to the team too.. why not either GIVE IT YOUR BEST or decide after you see the rule-set or even just watch from the touchline for the first season and see what you think?

not trying to be funny but I don't understand your reason here.

If I told you, you would never believe me, I had my reasons for not wanting to sign up, but I have, so we will leave it at that, thankyou :)

I feel the same way my new username is going to be "The Dropped Score".

I object to the moniker but I'd be happy to be on your team.

Thanks! You guys are awesome! :D

I'm in and pretty psyched. After 5 years of editing photos on my tiny POS work laptop, I'm expecting my first brand new 27 inch Dell with all the bells and whistles thanks to a recent settlement. That and my recently added D700 birthday gift and soon to be added 150mm have got me soooo looking forward to this!

I'll sign up. Hopefully this can get me through my mental block for entering challenges.

I don't want to read through all the posts but I did notice where it was stated that it would be attempted to put people together with who they want. I hope this does not make it a one or two team challenge. Doing it that way can easily stack the deck.

Just signed up because my wife told me to. (I post all the time anyway) No choices made for teammates since they are all taken most likely and just as fun to see what fate has in store for a team.

It is looking like we may be able to go with 6 on a team at this rate, and with 2 separate leagues too and keep the length of the contest down too.

Although it seems like a lonely wait, I can assure you there are 3 guys working very hard in the background to make it a success... I am simply fronting it, a bit like a bad kareoke singer having the Beatles as a backing band.

(sorry... I'm bored this morning, and I'm putting off working on my Christmas card entry because I don't have any ideas...)

Just a suggestion to explain the demands and requirements of prospective team members before you create too many teams and leagues. That is, once the plans for the competition take concrete form, give people an idea of their tour of duty. I'm hoping there truly is this much enthusiasm for submitting to many consecutive challenges. As a former team captain in DPL2, I know it was sometimes painful to encourage regular, steady participation. (And, I had a dedicated, loyal, commited, talented, very active team.) All I'm saying is there may be more enthusiasm for a forum signup than there will be for regular, steady commitment to challenge participation. It's better to give people the option of reconsidering, rather than be cajoled by captains later.

Don't worry, I think we're going to have a new thread to confirm interest. We may not, but at the least we're going to be getting confirmations.

We're also keeping a very mindful eye on length of competition.
