I'm going nuts not being able to check my scores... does anyone have an idea when they'll be back up?

ME TOO, was wondering when someone was going start a thread. I think I'm checking the site even more...is it there?

lol, i'm so glad i'm not the only one out there who's desperate. i was thinking that w/out the scores, i should be able to get some work done ... but no, i keep on checking to see whether they are back, so i'm my usual unproductive self for a monday! :)

Last I talked to Drew, the scores were taken down because they were what were causing the ridiculous slowdown of the site. They're working on a way to resolve this, which will probably involve hourly updates of the scores or some such solution.

Since I had a preview of my score last night I think it's just fine if this problems not resolved until Saturday...

What, I am not obsessive.....I have only checked for my scores about sixty times today... yeah I would have checked more if I had the time.....AHhhhhhhhh.....

Seriously though. I am really interested in seeing my score, I think my picture is better than my picture last week but my score was lower when I checked this morning. Lot's of "That would have been good this week" but I only had 20 or so votes so you can;t tell..... Ahhhh need scores.

:)

Thanks!!! It's been killing me - I had no preview of any scores - so I've been in complete darkness. At least the comments are something.

Thanks Terry.... :( But now I''m getting comments on how my photo is overexposed....arrghh...I''m wondering if there was that much of a difference between my mac and monitor and the other PCs/monitors viewing it. I should have brought it to work and checked it out on a good monitor before sending... Live and learn....arrghhhhhhhh.. :)

I don''t think I''m reading anymore for a while...lol

I just checked it on my calibrated monitor here at work and I''m still not seeing it as being that bad. oh well...

PC's and Mac's generally have a different Gamma setting, but I am not sure how this will affect viewing. I ha

First thing this morning I was running at 6.2. My highest score ever, so I'm quite happy if the scores don't re-appear. Probably be sub 5 when I get them back ;-(

The way my scores being going down ever since I checked last night I'd kill for a sub 5 average.

It being the first time for me(in the contest that is), what kind of scores are considered decent? I was at 5.2 before it went down. I have also checked about a million times!
07/22/2002 07:14:48 PM · #18
Well Terry, I'm a first-timer myself and I was at 5.3 last I saw. I'm not sure but I think we're doing ok for newbies.
07/22/2002 07:18:00 PM · #19
All us newbies seemed to be between 5.2 and 5.4 last night, it seems!
07/22/2002 07:49:15 PM · #20
do any of the newbies have any comments on their picts yet? I actually had two good ones!
07/22/2002 08:24:48 PM · #21
Aye, I have 5 comments so far. only one of them negative. Kinda makes me wonder what my SCORE look like. I had but one comment (a nice one) when I was at 5.3.

(twidles thumbs, thinks what a silly way to spend day off, wonders whats on TV, hmm, when will dinner be ready...)

It is kind of sick - its the first thing I did when I woke up, and it will be the last thing I''ll do before I go to bed. Still only 3 comments, the suspense is killing me.

i wonder if people give you a lower score because they can't misinterpret the title of your submission?
