| I seem to have missed the train. This was a wonderful idea, and if I had got up at 6 every day I could have cleaned out last year's files and had 6 or 7 pics worth showing.... But I didn't get up at 6 or even 7, I only got overwhelmed/appalled. I would love to start this all over again in January 2013, covering the same ground but at half the pace. Meanwhile I will allow myself to browse among your findings. |

Well, maybe it's better to miss the train than take the ride and forsake the station. I haven't been getting up at 6 either, I've just been neglecting the stuff I really should be doing. (Haha! What else is new!)

Day 21 - ROM
Again, another entry for a different site. Challenge was architecture and I decided to hit up the ROM. I had many outtakes of different locations around Toronto, but this one stood out because of the features of the building itself.
Purchased PTLens for this shot since lens distortion was driving me nuts. |

i was there trying to sail little candle boat down the hole for the candle challenge it didnt work so came home and shot them in my bathtub instead
and here is one of our diggers :)

Day 21 - Sep. 25, 2012
During September/October I spent a good bunch of time exploring Valley Forge Park. I worked on shooting landscapes with good composition and HDR processing. Here is a shot of the Maurice Stephens House shot in mid-morning light. I checked the scene and felt that shooting from a crouched position at a good angle to the house would make a nice composition to show off the light. I used the stone path as a small leading line, because there wasn't much else. I felt the tree added some balance to the shot.
Here is some light reading about the house if anyone is having trouble falling to sleep!
